Mentor the next generation of Camp Colton alumni as a High School Leader!
Support small groups of students ranging from 4th-7th grade as they have fun and learn together. We have multiple programs that can benefit from your time, passion, and support. During the SEED Summer Experience, this entails student groups of 6th and 7th graders staying all week directing their own environmental research projects with guidance from a science teacher and local STEM experts. At the Colton Adventure Camp, this entails 4th and 5th graders coming up each day for a week to go on expeditions and get their hands dirty with enriching activities like making bread from scratch or pressing flowers. Either way, you will also support traditional camp activities like art, team-building, hiking, games, and singing around the campfire.
As a student leader, you will receive training and guidance from Camp staff to facilitate activities and support positive outcomes before your selected program begins. Leaders eat, learn, and play with their middle school students. For High School Leaders working the SEED Summer Experience, your sleeping arrangements are separate from campers' sleeping structures and you have access to extra food, showers, and more. It is an honor, privilege, and commitment to be a high school leader at Camp Colton.
