  • FUSD Employees Only - American Heart Association Heart Saver First Aid CPR AED Course

    FUSD Employees Only AHA HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED Course The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course combines video demonstrations with hands on training and is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (i.e. OSHA) or other requirements or for anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. The course covers the following topics: First Aid basics; medical emergencies; injury emergencies; environmental emergencies, preventing illness and injury; opiod associated emergency; and adult, child and infant CPR with AED use. The CPR/First Aid certificate that you will obtain for completing this course will be valid for 2 years.
  • American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning Class

    The purpose of the course is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies; to know how to care for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Infant, child and adult skills are covered in this course. The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric Blended Learning class is divided into two sessions: an online session (time range is 25 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes depending on pre-assessment) and then a subsequent skills session (scheduled for 2 hours 30 minutes). To complete the course requirements and receive a course completion certificate, a participant must be able to complete all required skills proficiently without any coaching or assistance during the assessment scenarios. Upon meeting the criteria for course completion and demonstration of competency, participants will receive a 2-year American Red Cross certification.
